MINISTERS' MEETINGS, CALL, ORDINATION OF ELDERS & FIVE FOLD
MINISTRY
Questions Nos. 580 to 594
CHAPTER NINETEEN
Question # 580: "How to conduct
a ministers meeting; how do you conduct your ministers' meetings?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: The general
order of our meeting is as follows: A date, time and a venue is set. Most times
the purpose of our meeting is established. Meeting starts promptly, at
the appointed time, like all other services. A circular goes out to those who
are invited amongst the ministers, elders etc. Lay-members are sometimes
permitted, who are spiritual and may be used of the Lord in the future. The
meeting is opened with prayer. We all sit together; if the audience is too
large, a microphone is used. The purpose of the meeting is expressed in the
opening remarks. Those who will be engaged in the meeting to give their
opinion, answer a question or relate a matter of discipline, takes the
microphone, addresses the audience, and return to their seats. The one in
authority, usually the pastor or another that is appointed by him,
summons the next party to speak. In so doing, the meeting always ends without
confusion and hard feelings. Meetings are sometimes conducted for three to five
hours. Our points are established before the end of each meeting and a dismissal
prayer is made before we depart.
We conduct our ministers meetings, taking the pattern from the New Testament
Church, from the way that Brother Branham conducted his ministers' meetings, and
partly from the way that the Lord Jesus met with his ministers. They had no
specific time of the year to meet, but met as it was necessary, and as the
needs arose. Conduct of their meetings varied in different ways.
In Acts 20, Brother Paul had a meeting with the elders, deacons and
ministers. He presided in that meeting and gave a special message to all. It was
not a meeting of questions and answers or debates in any form. He was the chief
spokesman. Jesus called ministers together-Matthew 10th chap. and Luke 10th
chapter. He instructed, anointed and commissioned them to preach the Gospel.
There are other times He met with His ministers, separately from the multitudes,
and they asked Him questions on parables, the time of His coming and the end of
the world -Matthew 24. There was a ministers' meeting before the crucifixion of
the Lord. An important factor was highlighted and that was the exposition
of the betrayer, Judas, and the death of the Lord. After His resurrection, He
met with the 11 Apostles and taught them the things concerning the Kingdom
(Outpouring) of God. He was the chief spokesman, delivering to the ministers a
new understanding; they had the right spirit and listened attentively.
In Acts 15, a ministers' meeting was held, which engaged the attention of
the Apostles by questions arising from Antioch concerning the Gentiles. Certain
apostles, who the others respected, gave their opinion, and they concluded after
one of them gave the correct answer. They all agreed. There was no
debate, gainsayings, anger, abuses, variance or divisions.
On the message, "Ministers' Conference", Brother Branham allowed the
ministers to ask certain questions and he gave the answers. Some of them spoke
in a manner to correct the Prophet. However, they were in harmony.
Quote W.M.B.: 762-82 "If you men would, when you build
this church, make this like your headquarters and like Brother Neville here
being like the senior elder among you. See? And sometimes you get a
question that you can't discuss out with your church out there, then
bring it in here to Brother Neville and you all discuss it together. If
there--you can't come to any decision, I'll be coming by pretty soon,
then we'll all come together with it.
And then in there, get training in your own groups other ministers, men
that you see that has a calling in their life for the ministry. Train them
young men; bring them in here to the elder. All of you set together in a
ministerial meeting and there teach the deeper things of God. Don't go
on the bad end. Keep someone who, can have confidence in to be kind of like a
leader for you…And training up a group of men. And if I'm in
evangelistic work somewhere, there's places I can place them
worldwide.
What if I was in India, go back to India… Maybe they'd have thousands of
them… believe it's the Truth, they'd come out of heathenism. There I've got...
And maybe in two or three weeks, when I was over there two nights, and maybe a
hundred thousand converted to Christ, nowhere to go. The next day take a plane
and start back to Rome, then to the United States, leave them just like sheep
put out among wolves. What if I had a group of men, young men trained
in the Message (See?)." (Taking Sides With Jesus C.O.D.
62-0601).
He instructed that the ministers should choose one who is a spiritual
leader, to whom they should bring the harder questions, that the
ministers be trained up in the Word of God, to be posted in India and Africa
where he makes converts. He promised to call for them when he wins many souls,
and set them over the people as pastors, so that the people do not drift back to
their old religion. He said that he did not have a group of ministers
trained up that he could call upon when he won thousands of souls. I
never heard of such meetings that he desired the ministers to have, but after
his death many try to have ministers meetings, which resulted in more
divisions, heresies, confusions, bitterness, hatred and separation.
Today, ministers' meetings, amongst the followers of the Message, have become a
big mockery and gross hypocrisy, with each minister having his own
interpretation and pretending to be in unity with the others. Such are
fruits of the 'Love Gospel.'
Bethel ministers meetings vary in conduct and order, depending upon the
purpose of our gathering. For better than thirty years, we had no specific time
set aside to meet, but we do meet whenever the need arises. The general body of
ministers may meet, or few ministers may meet to discuss a matter. The decision
is presented to their pastor, for his approval or disapproval, based on the Word
or the Message. Senior ministers, junior ministers, exhorters, elders, deacons
etc., are invited to a ministers meeting when it is convenient. If the meeting
is of great importance, especially on doctrinal matters, only senior ministers
meet with the pastor. The opinions of the ministers are expressed on a certain
subject, doctrinal conduct or order, and the pastor gives his decision, which is
always final. By God's grace, within such time, we have never had any
disagreement on doctrinal teachings. We never separated with bitter
feelings or disagreements on any subject.
We sometimes have meetings for our own edification. We discuss doctrinal
matters. The pastor may take a particular subject on the ministry and speak for
several hours while the ministers listen attentively. This is evident by our
tapes. Some were sent out; others were too personal to be made public. At other
times these meetings take the form of questions and answers. Questions are
written ahead of time, on paper, and handed to the presiding minister or Pastor,
so he can furnish the right answers on the date of the meeting. If the officer
needs more information, after the pastor gives the answer, he may stand in the
meeting and identify himself and verbally ask to explain the question further.
This is done in an orderly fashion.
Occasionally, we may entertain ministers from the Message to express
their understanding on a certain doctrine. Many times it's heresy, but we do so
for the edification of our ministers, that they may understand how a heretic
believes and teaches his heresy, but most important is how to defeat such a
heresy. In these meetings, junior ministers are commanded to be silent, since
they are not capable enough to defend the Word. Senior ministers pick up the
cause and expose that heresy before all the ministers, in an orderly fashion,
giving the opposer time to speak, then answering his questions, always bringing
him back to the Word and Message, and gently rebuking when he strays from the
Word and begins to voice his own opinion. An example of this kind of meeting can
be found on E.O.D.H. Book 9. Great efforts are made to turn ministers from their
errors. We were successful on a few occasions.
Question # 584: "Youth meetings
in Endtime Message churches; is it wrong?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: It is not and
O.T or N.T. custom, but it came from so-called Pentecost, even as Sunday schools
were started by the Methodist and called 'ragged kids school'. Much corruption
came out of youth meetings in so-called Pentecost - pride, ambition,
fornication, etc. However, Brother Branham had Youth meetings where he and other
adults spoke to them on teenage items that they needed to know. He spoke to the
women one Sunday and the men on the other.
Quote W.M.B.: 349-357 "A long time ago, when I was pastor here,
we used to have a--just young men's classes. And I'd speak to the young women
on Sunday afternoon about sex and things, then the next Sunday afternoon speak
to the young men, and try to get those things curbed out." (Hebrews Chapter 7
Pt. 2 Church Order 57-0922).
Question # 582: "Brother, I wish
to ask a question here. I don't have a church to go. I can't go where they
preach heresies. I, along with my family listen to tapes. Now they are saying
that my ministry, what I started to preach against: "thunders doctrine", was
finished, as the people left me and joined "thunders" influenced church. I have
asked God many times but still there is no answer. What should I do? Please pray
for me. I have a call of God. I feel pressed by it day and night. I can't get
away from it. I have asked God that if He doesn't want me to preach, He will
take that travail from me, but it remains. It presses me day and night."
E.O.D.H. Answer: People leaving
your ministry to follow heresies and heretics are no sign that you are wrong in
doctrine and that your ministry is folded up. Thousands forsook Jesus and only a
handful stood with Him, but He had the Word. The Pentecostal world rejected
Brother Branham for false doctrines, but he had the Word. Many turned against
Moses, they all perished in the wilderness, but he had the Word. It came to pass
in the life of a preacher of righteousness called Noah that only his family
believed him, and it is not surprising that you only have your family if
you believe the truth.
My precious Brother, I with many ministers came through those kinds of
battles. We are seasoned soldiers of the Cross, battling against Colemanism,
Ganism and Soto Santiagoism; and these are the tactics of the devil to
discourage you out of the way, which your opposers are expressing. Stand and
proclaim the truth even if you have one left. When Elijah thought that there was
nobody to believe, God assured him that there were seven thousand reserved, who
did not bow their knees to Baal. Be steadfast, strong, bold and brave. If there
is a call in your life which you cannot get away from, it will take you through.
The Lord be with you and strengthen you. My prayer, counsel and advice is
available at no cost. We will be praying for you as you have many hundreds of
brothers and sister who fight against many of their false thunders here in the
Western world, and many ministers and the congregations there in India. They
will strengthen you if you keep in contact with Brother Watson. May the Lord
bless you. Peace be unto you.
"Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that
teacheth in all good things." (Galatians 6:6).
Question #583 : "Concerning 'the
called, trained and sent', please explain on this; especially 'sent'?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: This question is
easy to understand when we follow the ministry of Jesus. He was called even from
His birth, trained up for 30 years and then sent after His baptism at Jordan.
Jesus said to His disciples, "..as the father hath sent me, so send I you". He
called them, trained them and filled them on the Day of Pentecost and sent them.
He said, "…then shall ye be witnesses". Only when the power came upon them, they
went into all the world preaching the Gospel.
Question # 584: "A Preacher must
be supernaturally called; is there any sign that verifies that this man is
called by God to be a minister apart from the Pillar of Fire or
miracles?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: Yes, a man is
called by divine revelation, ("And how shall they preach, except they be
sent?" - Romans 10:15), as many have seen pillars of fire that are not of
God. For Satan himself appears in a pillar of fire and deceived many.
"And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of
light." (Ii Corinthians 11:14)
Quote W.M.B.: "No man has a right to enter the sacred
desk to preach the Word until he has did as Moses did: meet God himself upon
grounds where that there's no theologian can explain it away. Moses was there.
No matter how Israel's messengers said, "Oh, it was a nonsense, you just
imagined you saw this; it's nonsense," you couldn't take it away from him; he
knowed. He was there. He was the one it happened to. And no man by a
theological degree or some doctor's degree has a right behind the pulpit to
claim the message of Jesus Christ, until he's first met God face to face in
the Pillar of Fire." (Why It Had To Be Shepherds 64-1221
P:96).
Quote: "Now, today if we're trusting only in education,
or a mechanical way of--of education to explain the Bible, then we've only got
it from a mental conception. But no man has the right behind this pulpit to
preach the Gospel unless he has come face to face with It. Like Moses on the
backside of the desert, no matter how well he was educated, whatever taken
place, his fears and flusterations left because he stood on a sacred ground
with God that nobody could take it away from him." (An Absolute 63-1201M
P:28).
Quote: "And the real, true Christian, the real, true
believer in God, waits upon the Lord for these things. Wait on your ministry.
If you feel a call, be sure that it's God. Be sure that it's right." (Trying
To Do God A Service 65-0718M P:23).
Preaching is a gift and a preacher will wait on his gift. A true preacher
today will stay with the Messenger's Message of the hour. He will not deviate
from the Word of the hour, as preached by the Messenger, William Branham.
Secondly he will completely surrender himself to preach the Gospel. He has
to know by divine revelation what he believes and where he is standing on the
Word.
Dreams and visions do not always verify a person to be a preacher, neither
does having the ability to speak fluently or eloquently. The working of signs
and miracles do not verify a person being a God-called minister, for even false
prophets work miracles and are anointed by the spirits of Devils.
"For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto
the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of
that great day of God Almighty." (Revelation 16:
14).
Question # 585: "I read that the
Pastor of Bethel is vindicated to be a pastor. Do you have any supernatural sign
to be a pastor?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: : I am not sure
where that was stated, as I do not propagate myself in that fashion, but I was
supernaturally called of God and preach only the Word of God, without
contradiction of the revelation of the Message of Malachi 4:5&6. The
highest vindication of any man of God is the Word of God. Though I have seen the
supernatural works of God in my ministry, I do not major on a minor. The major
is the Word of God. The fruits of my ministry are the people that live a life
and follow the Message. They shine as lights in a dark world. E.O.D.H Books 1-12
bear witness of my life, manner and doctrine. Upon this I challenge every
heretic on the field, with their signs, wonders and miracles and perversion of
the Message, as they try to add and take away from the Message of Brother
Branham. E.O.D.H Books have thoroughly exposed them. They have no hiding place
for their unbelief in the Message. Some think that they are so gifted that they
can correct the Messenger and his Message, but they are antichrist.
Question # 586: "How are
ministers ordained in the message?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: My precious
brother, Brother Branham demonstrated this to a great extent on the book called
the "indictment", also on "C.O.D." Some of this is also on book 10 E.O.D.H.
Nevertheless to ordain a minister:
1. You must have the Holy Ghost. 2. Fit the qualification of
1Timothy 3; Titus chapter 1. 3. Hands are laid upon him by experienced
ministers-elders to sanction that he has a call in his life and is qualified
to preach the gospel. He himself must know of that supernatural call in his
life by divine revelation and experience with God.
If you read E.O.D.H., there are several quotations about a called minister.
You must remember that thousands of men are ordained by the ministers
around the message, who have no divine call, nor did they meet the
qualifications of the ministry. As a result, we have heretics by the thousands
who fall into sin. The false anointed ones have used this opened door, to
deceive message believers, as they impersonate true servants of God. This is
what brought about E.O.D.H.
Question #587 : "Was it the
perfect will of God for Jesus Christ to send the eleven, and the Early Church,
to appoint seven deacons at once when God sends one man at a time, according to
the prophet?"
E.O.D.H. Answer:
"Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report,
full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business."
(Acts 6:3).
"And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch." (Acts
11:27).
"And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the
brethren with many words, and confirmed them." (Acts
15:32).
Quote W.M.B.: "He never did use a group, never did. He
uses one single person. You're not... Israel was saved as a nation, but you're
going to be saved as an individual. One person He deals with. He had a... He
didn't even have a--a Moses and Elijah the same time. He couldn't have Elijah
and Elisha the same time. He couldn't have John and Jesus the same time. He's
always got one, because He gets that one person into His Divine will."
(Identified Christ of all ages 64-0401 P:34).
Quote: "Now, God always uses a--a prophet, a man. If you
use a bunch of men, you get different ideas (See?); each man, two men. Never
did He have two major prophets on the earth at one time. He takes one, so the
other one can take its place for another day, another message. He never has
two; He has one at a time. And the infinite God never changes His program. He
must always stay with what He started with. That's the reason we can have
confidence in what He says; He cannot change. If He saved a man on the basis
of his faith in God, the next man will have to be saved the same way."
(Evening messenger 63-0116 P:39).
It is true my brother, that God uses one man at a time and here are seven
deacons appointed at once to serve the needs of the people. The question is, 'Is
this the perfect will of God?'
Now, I think that we are a little mixed up in the offices: The office
of the seven men appointed in Acts 6:3 and the office of the one man God uses at
a time. He is speaking of using one mouthpiece at a time because two men or more
at a time will have two opinions or more at a time and that will breed
confusion.
God uses one man as His mouthpiece for a particular time. This does not mean
to say that God cannot use other men; they will be in subjection or in line with
his mouthpiece.
In the Book of Acts there were prophets that God used in those days but they
were not God's mouthpiece for the Age. They were in subjection to God's
mouthpiece.
These seven men appointed were not to be individually God's mouthpieces, but
they were to serve tables. Their offices were different but yet they were in
subjection to God's mouthpiece. Scripturally, it seems to be His will for them
to be appointed. Deacon is a different office to any of the five-fold offices.
They differ in conditions of appointments. Some may use the appointment of seven
deacons to justify seven men for the seven thunders, but that is incorrect. One
prophet can bring many revelations, like Brother Branham who preached all Six
Seals.
Question # 588: "Is it all right
for deacons to preach whilst ministers are around?"
E.O.D.H. Answer:
"…For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not
selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy
lucre; But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy,
temperate; Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may
be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers."
(Titus 1:5-9). (1Timothy 3:1-13).
The qualifications for being a Minister and a Deacon are the same. So if a
Deacon feels a call of God in his life to minister, sure he can, because it is
required that such a one must be apt to teach also. Whether the Minister is
present or absent, it does not matter. He cannot do so independently, without
the permission of the pastor in his congregation. God may even use them as
evangelists.
"And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles
among the people." (Acts 6:8).
"Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto
them." (Acts 8:5).
These men, Stephen and Phillip, were among the seven men of honest report
chosen to do the work of Deacons, yet they preached the Word of God and wrought
miracles.
Question # 589: "Is it necessary
to elect Elders as an office in the church when a pastor is already there
ministering? (Note: Electing elders as a group of people serving in the daily
needs of the church?) Please, did the Prophet do that, or, does the Bible allow
that?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: Yes, Brother
Branham allowed that while Brother Neville was the pastor at the Branham
tabernacle, as each office is important for the functions of the church.
ELDERS, DEACONS, TRUSTEES & TREASURERS
The word elder came from the Greek word, PRESBUTEROS. "Neglect not
the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on
of the hands of the presbytery." (1 Timothy 4:14). All that Elder means
is an aged person. The term is used naturally and religiously to an older
person naturally, the Head of a City, Head of a Tribe, or Head of a country,
politically. Naturally speaking, the elders represent wisdom, knowledge and
understanding. They have more experience of life.
ELDER MEANS THE HEAD OF A CITY OR A TRIBE
Quote W.M.B.: 291 "Elder" means "the head of a city or
the head of a tribe." (Rev.Chap.4.Pt.2.24.Elders 61-0101).
The same term was employed also in religion even because Israel was a
religious nation. The heads of the twelve tribes of Israel were called elders.
Now it slipped over to the New Testament with the same term, and when it comes
to Christianity, it changes from a political to a religious recognition, and the
word elder was now being used, not by your age in this life of being an old man,
but your maturity in the Lord. That is why the Bible says, if a man desires to
be a bishop he must not be a novice. (1Timothy 3:1-6). Novice means 'one young
in Christian faith.'
'ELDER' REFER TO A MAN'S CHRONOLOGICAL AGE IN THE
LORD
Quote W.M.B.: 197-2 'elders' (presbyters)… 'Elder'
always has and always will refer simply to a man's chronological age in the
Lord… He is more seasoned, trained, not a novice, reliable because of
experience and long standing proof of his Christian experience." (Church Age
Book Cpt.5).
To further prove all that I just said, in Revelation chapter 4 there were
twenty-four elders who were twelve from the Old Testament and twelve from the
New, which were the twelve patriarchs and twelve apostles. Do you notice that
some of those men were apostles, prophets, teachers and evangelists? But here
they were all called in a certain category (elders) even because they were
sitting there as judges, which represents the custom of Israel that used to
judge the cases as elders, as in the case of Boaz and Ruth. So in the New
Testament, as well as Old Testament time, the head of anything political or
religious was termed 'elders',
The term elder addresses all the offices in the House of God. In one
category, as long as you held an office and you are over something in the House
of God, you were called elder. In Acts 20:28 all those offices of deacons,
treasurers, trustees, bishops, pastors, teachers, evangelists, five-fold
ministry were referred to by Brother Paul as elders.
"And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.
And when they were come to him, he said unto them… Take heed therefore unto
yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you
overseers, to feed the church of God." (Acts 20: 17,18,28).
Those were deacons and everybody who were responsible for the functioning of
the churches in Ephesus.
"The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder… Feed the
flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight." - 1 Peter
5:1-2.
Peter referred to the brethren down there and also himself as elders. John
also called him an elder in Revelation 5:5. So now, although he was an apostle,
he was addressed as an elder, and although a man was a deacon or an associate
pastor he was addressed as an elder because those offices were given to mature
men who had a little age in Christianity. That does not mean that they were
eighty years of age.
John was an apostle but he referred to himself as an elder:
"The elder unto the elect lady." (2 John1:1). "The elder unto the
wellbeloved Gaius." (3 John 1:1).
He was going down in age so he preferred to call one who is old in
Christianity an elder.
So the word elder is used in different categories, in both the Old Testament
and New Testament, to describe the head of the church, or any other office. Down
to an apostle, pastor or a deacon could be called an elder, and the same word
could be applied to the pastor as the head of the local body.
More on this subject is on E.O.D.H. Book 10.
Question # 590: "Who are the
minor prophets of this age, since the Prophet of the age is the major
one"
E.O.D.H. Answer: In the Bible
there are major and minor prophets-Ephesians 4:11-15, there are five office
gifts. Both minor and major prophets are included there. As long as the church
is on earth we would have the five office gifts. However, I believe much of that
will be identified only by the next outpouring of the Holy Spirit. They
will be identified by their manifestations of prophecy, which comes to pass
accurately. They will also handle the Word of God without perverting it.
However, there are many self appointed, unscriptural, false prophets that arose,
fulfilling Matthew 24:24 to deceive the elect if it were possible. Many claim
different offices under the Message.
Brother Branham did say that his son Joseph is a prophet, as we
accept, and believe it, but he, Joseph, is not functioning in the office of a
prophet at this present time. To be on the right track let us stay with the
Message of Malachi 4:5&6. He is God's mouthpiece for the hour.
Question # 591: "I will like to
know how the true apostle can be known in this message of the hour?"
E.O.D.H. Answer:
"And when it was day, he called unto him his disciples: and of
them he chose twelve, whom also he named apostles." (Luke
6:13).
Quote W.M.B.: "Missionary is a very fine word, but I got
a better word for it. You're an apostle. See? That's right. Now, what
does the word "apostle" mean? "One that's sent." What does the word
"missionary" mean? "One that's sent." It's the same thing. So, missionaries,
prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors make up the church. Is that
right? Apostles, prophets they call. So, as long as you are a missionary or an
apostle, you're one sent of God to a mission." (Joseph meeting his brethren
56-1230 P: 18).
Quote: 247-3 "The apostle Paul who was both apostle and
prophet." (Church Ages).
Quote: "He sold his Lord, after he had the opportunity
to even to be a--a disciple, to be an apostle, the highest calling in the
Bible, higher than a prophet." (Remembering the Lord 62-1209 P:39).
Quote: "First apostles; that's missionaries… The
highest order is a missionary who travels the seas for the Lord Jesus."
(Baptism of the Holy Spirit 58-0928m).
Quote: "If they call the Master of the house Beelzebub,
how much more they going to call them of His disciples?" So it's just a true
sign of apostleship (Is that right?), discipleship of Jesus Christ. So
may He, the One we're speaking of..." (Greater Witness than John 53-1107 P:
58).
According to Scripture, an apostle is one sent with all the gifts in him. He
is sent over land and sea with a message of salvation to proclaim to all the
people of the world. In Matthew 10, Jesus called his apostles and sent them to
the lost sheep of Israel to preach and say that the kingdom of Heaven is at
hand.
The kingdom of Heaven message was the message of the hour, and they preached
that message. They were not to preach Noah's message or Moses' message, but
Jesus' message. Malachi 4 said that one must be called and trained in the
message. What message? The message of the hour.
Jesus was our chief apostle. Peter was an apostle, so was Paul. Brother Paul
said in 1Corinthians 3:11, "For other foundation can no man lay than that is
laid, which is Jesus Christ." This foundation forms the base of our
doctrines now.
a. One God - No Trinitarianism - St. John 4:24. b. Water
Baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 2:38; chapters 8, 10 and
19. c. No Woman Preachers must ascend the pulpit - 1 Timothy 2:12. d.
Women must not cut their hair or wear a man's garment - 1 Corinthians 11:15,
Deuteronomy 22:5. e. Women must be modestly dressed - 1 Timothy 2:9. f.
"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication,
uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which
is idolatry" (Colossians 3:5).
A true apostle will uphold the message of Malachi 4:5-6 and the written
Word. He will preach: Receive the Token or Perish. They will point all believers
to another outpouring of the Holy Ghost as it was in the Book of Acts on the Day
of Pentecost.
Quote W.M.B.: "This morning, the message this morning
was to me the highlights message of my entire ministry, this morning (See?),
highlight message of my entire ministry. Someday I'll tell you how it come
about. And I know that everything has worked for months and months and months
up to that one message, moving up to come to that place. That was the
capping-off time of it. Now, I'm sure, or hope, that you got the--what the
Token meant. See? The Token is the sign that the Blood has been applied, that
the price that's been asked, required of God, Jesus paid that price by
shedding His own Blood. He did that. Then, from His life came the Holy Spirit.
And when the Blood is applied to you, the Holy Spirit is a Token that your
price is paid. God has received you, and that's the Token. Remember, that is
the Token." (Desperation 63-0901E P:7).
Brother Paul and the rest of the apostles upheld a moral standard in their
day, the true apostles of today will do likewise. They will adhere to the moral
tenets of the message of Malachi 4:5-6. They are going to establish the moral
standards of not participating in sports, worldliness and television. Malachi 4
said that if he had a television he would shoot it out of his house.
Dressing is a disgrace worldwide, both among males and females. True
apostles will scream out against it and call for modesty and clean living. Their
personal conduct must be in accordance with the qualifications of Ministers laid
down in 1Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
A true apostle will be militant against heresies and heretics worldwide.
E.O.D.H. books gave you sound teaching on the above subjects. The Scripture says
to try the spirits to see if they are of God or not. How will one try the spirit
if they don't know how, or what to try them with? E.O.D.H. Books gave strong
weapons to know a true apostle from a false one. Any apostle, prophet, pastor,
teacher or evangelist, who is not pointing you to, and denies Pentecost, another
outpouring of the Holy Ghost as it was on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2, is a
false apostle and minister.
Question # 592: "How can one
identify his or her pastor since everybody has a pastor through whom God will
prepare him for the rapture?"
E.O.D.H. Answer:
Quote W.M.B.: "Whoever that's borned of the Spirit of God
shall go in that rapture. I believe that the Bride will be called out
during that time. I believe there will be some in the last days won't have to
taste death but will be changed in a moment, a twinkling of an eye." (Standing
in the gap 63-0623M P:60)
Quote: "I don't care how good you are, what church you
belong to, how good your parents was, except you as a individual has been
borned again by the Holy Ghost, you'll never go in the rapture." (Questions
and answers COD 54-0103E P: 41).
Everybody doesn't have a pastor which can prepare them for the rapture. All
pastors are not God sent pastors. As a result, not all pastors will lead their
congregations to the rapture. Some will lead them to the tribulation, while
others will lead them to the rapture. Some pastors are hirelings while others
are true shepherds of the flock.
The qualification of a pastor to lead his flock to the rapture is that he
must have the revelation to get a person born again. If your pastor can preach
the true Word that will get you born again, then you need not worry; but if he
cannot, then you need to find and sit under a true pastor who can do so.
Question # 593: "Only a prophet
or apostle should expose heresies worldwide, and other ministers only in their
church. Is this true?"
E.O.D.H. Answer: If this is so
that only an apostle or a prophet must expose heresies worldwide, then the
five-fold ministry will be shut off. Teachers, evangelists and pastors will be
out of a ministry. Every true gift in the five-fold ministry of apostles,
prophets, evangelists, teachers and pastors are ordained to expose heresies
worldwide and not only in their local assemblies.
A preacher who will abide by exposing heresies only in his local church is
foolish and his gift never came from God. He must not be a compromiser. He must
be able to expose heresies in his local assembly, and also in other assemblies
to deliver souls. The entire Bible is an exposition of heresies.
"Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke,
exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they
will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to
themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears
from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy
ministry." (2 Timothy 4:2-5).
With a conception like this, the Devil wants to smother the true gifts in
the five-fold ministry so that heresies could flourish and take souls into Hell
and into the Lake of Fire. With such a plan, you are saying that E.O.D.H. should
only be exposing heresies at Bethel, and if it is done so then heresies by Gan,
Massock, Coleman, Vin and others like them will flourish and destroy millions of
souls.
All ministers in the true five fold ministry will expose heresies and
heretics worldwide.
Question 594# : "An E.O.D.H.
preacher said "Thus Saith The Lord, it is a false Thunder". Can this preacher
use, "Thus Saith The Lord"?
E.O.D.H. Answer: Sure. The
Scripture is Thus Saith The Lord. All the mysteries and the six seals revealed
by Malachi 4 are Thus Saith The Lord. So this E.O.D.H. Preacher saying Thus
Saith The Lord, is right in line. He knows what he is saying because he comes
under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost.
