BLASPHEMERS OF THE HOLY GHOST & THE UNPARDONABLE SIN

CHAPTER SEVEN

II Timothy 3:8-14 <Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

But they shall proceed no further: for their follyS shall be manifest unto all [men], as theirs also was.>

But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,

Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of [them] all the Lord delivered me.

Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.

But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them.>

May the Lord add a blessing to the reading of His holy words.

Tonight we will be speaking on a very vital subject here taken from II Timothy 3: 8-14. And I would like to deal on the subject of “Blasphemers of The Holy Ghost And The Unpardonable Sin.” And for this subject I will also mention Matthew 12: 31-32 and Hebrews 6: 4-6:

Matthew 12:31 <Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come.>

Hebrews 6: 4-6 <For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.>

Now, these scriptures on the subject of blasphemy, the devil has used them to bother the minds of Christians throughout the centuries, because he could give the wrong understanding to Christian when they make mistakes or fall in sin, and he comes around and pounds the minds of such people to make them think that that was their last chance and they blasphemed the Holy Spirit when they fell in fornication and adultery or when they got violent and did something to a man or did something outstanding. So I believe that the explanation of this scripture will help the minds of people, not only here but I believe it would help people who are abroad who did not have the opportunity to sit under the Word of God for the past years and the past decades.

There is hardly anything that the preachers can come to the pulpit and speak which, basically, you have not heard preached before. But yet, what make the service are the presence of the Lord and the presentation of God’s Word.

So this in itself, if there is anybody overseas, anybody in our midst or anybody in Bethel who might be contemplating on the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and wants to know; “Did I blaspheme when I fell away the last time or when I had that bad dream? Or because I have some satanic experiences, or I go down the road and cannot help myself but lust and I have this problem that I have been trying to overcome for the last few years and it fights me. Sometimes I am up and sometimes I am down”, I am trusting that this would clear up your mind.

And then, on the other hand, it would help you to understand this a little better, because I am about tonight, to point out several characters who crossed the line and who blasphemed their way. I am speaking about in our age and under this message and under this revelation. And when these characters are described and their works are described then it would help you to understand that you do not fit into that category.

I make this statement ahead of time; the prophet of God said that a Christian cannot commit the unpardonable sin”, and that is so great. He said, “A Christian cannot commit the unpardonable sin, it is the make believer that commits the unpardonable sin.”

So I will also bring to your attention that much blasphemy has taken place in the age that we live. The religious world, especially the Pentecostal world who had been around the prophet of God and saw the signs and the wonders and the miracles and who were partakers of the Holy Ghost and who were enlightened, under the ministry of Brother Branham, men like Oral Roberts and Billy Graham and T. L. Osborne and Tommy Hicks and A. A. Allen and the list goes on, men who were partakers of that revival, men who sat and heard the Word of God, men who enjoyed the presence of God for many years, for as long as thirty years in Pentecost, and then at the end turned away from the truth and rejected the man called William Branham and rejected the truth, brethren, they have blasphemed their way.

Now, that sounds very horrible to this world, that a man is going to stand up here and say that the Pentecostal world who sat under that ministry blasphemed their way, but that is the gospel truth. This generation and the religious world have heard more truth than all the seven church ages put together; the opening of the seals and the mysteries revealed. To whom much is given, much will be required of them. So it is a hard thing.

Even people in the message do not believe that Oral Roberts is a lost man and is going down to hell and have crossed the borderline of repentance. And the excuse that they make is that Brother Branham said that he and Billy Graham were two angels to Sodom. How blind these people could be? Two angels to Sodom but they rejected Brother Branham’s message. To reject that message and do what they did is the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. So many millions of people, in the days of the prophet, when he broadcasted his message with might and power, blasphemed the Holy Ghost and they are on their way to hell, although they are religious and think that they are Christians and they are going in the rapture, they are lost! Rejecters of the Word of God! They fulfilled Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 10. It is a horrible thing!

Let me give you one example of that, because it is hard to comprehend that all these people blasphemed, but when Jesus came, He came with a message, and then Israel understood what He was preaching. They rejected the Word and that whole nation was cursed. They blasphemed the Holy Ghost.

Now, in the days of Noah, God sent a message, and the Lord was sure to let everybody hear that message for one hundred and twenty years. At the end of that, when they rejected that prophet and rejected the message they were all lost and eight people were saved. Isn’t that an example? Brother Peter said they are in hell. Souls in prison. They are in hell waiting on the judgment, and they have been down there now for at least four thousand years in pain and agony. Yes! It is a fearful thing to reject the words of life. So those people blasphemed their way. We are talking about people who heard the Word of God and then turned their backs on the Word of God.

So now, I am going to give you certain examples, but I want you to hear the prophet briefly, on the subject of blasphemy. Now, these blasphemers in the last days, they commit the sin of blasphemy, and whole generations in the past, where the Bible is concerned, committed the sin of blasphemy by rejecting the truth. So we will hear Brother Branham on what is blasphemy, first of all:

IF HE KNEW BETTER – BLASPHEMED THE HOLY GHOST

Quote W.M.B. E-7 Someone made a remark in a paper not long ago: said, "Well, the people are all going down to the Branham healing campaign and getting de-demonized." Said, "He detects all the demons and casts them all out."

Now, that was a very flat thing for someone to say. But through ignorance, the man done it.

...And if he did know better, God help his soul, 'cause he's blasphemed the Holy Ghost then. And there's never will be a forgiveness for that. See, "Whosoever blasphemes the Holy Ghost..." It's a unpardonable sin. It can never be forgiven at all. Through all eternity, you're still lost forever. To speak it--you don't just speak against the Holy Ghost. See? So be careful. If you don't understand it, just don't say nothing, just go ahead. See? Let it alone. (Believe Ye That I Am Able To Do This 50-0820E).

Brother Branham is specifying what the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is. A man called the works and the healings of Brother Branham “demons.” He said, “The people are demonized.” Brother Branham said, “That was a flat thing to say, and if he did not know better, it is okay. But if that man knows better he has blasphemed the Holy Ghost.” So now, he went on to explain that if you know that to be the truth and you know that to be the Holy Ghost and you know that to be God, and then turn around and call it the devil, he said, “That’s it!” That is blasphemy. Not the mistake that you made. No! Not the backsliding. It is when you backslide, the thing you said amen to and you praised God about, to be wicked and nasty in your mind, to go out and call it a lie and call it the devil after you know that is the truth. That’s blasphemy! Alright!

W.M.B’s TEACHINGS – BLASPHEMY OF HOLY GHOST

Quote W.M.B.: 343-316... A Christian cannot commit the unpardonable sin. He can't do it.... It's the ungodly that does that. It's the make-believer, not the believer. (Hebrews Chap. 7 Pt. 2 Church Order 57-0922).

BLASPHEMED – WILLFULLY REJECTED TRUTH

Quote W.M.B.: 70 ...How many in here knows what the unpardonable sin is now? Sure. To reject Gospel Truth. Is that right?... "He that sins willfully after he has received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." When the Gospel is laid out to you, plainly," says the Scripture, and you see It; and for the sake that you want to be different or agree with this group, that you willfully turn away, you have blasphemed the Holy Ghost, and can never be forgiven in this world or the world to come." That's right. (He Swore By Himself 54-1212).

In other words, you know that to be the truth, and you would go out there and you would call it a lie! And you would turn away from that truth and go and sit in an organisation and call that the truth, because of some selfish reason.

BLASPHEMED – REJECTED WATER BAPTISM

Quote: 130 A Seventh-Day Adventist brother... come up here at my house one time, to challenge on the same thing... I said, "Then if God's Word says you're wrong, will you let me baptize you in the Name of Jesus Christ? ...He agreed with it.

And his very first text was the only place he ever got, and was condemned right there, and then refused to let me baptize him.

..."If we sin, or disbelieve, wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." There is your unpardonable sin.

...If you know what is the Gospel truth, and it's laid out to you, and God has revealed It to you, and you know it's the truth; but just to satisfy some congregation or some petty preacher, or to be popular, that you want to hold onto the things that you want to hold onto instead of taking God's Word; Paul said, "He that sins, or disbelieves, wilfully after he has received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sin." There's your unpardonable sin, is to know what is the truth and refuse to walk in it. Amen. Now, you believe that's right? That's what the Bible said. "He that sins." Sin is "unbelief." (Unpardonable Sin 54-1024).

Would you imagine something like that? Blasphemed because you saw water baptism and you did not walk true to that water baptism. So actually, blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is to see truth and walk away from that truth and go and sit down under a lie. Jesus confirmed the same. He said:

John 3:19 <And this is the condemnation...>

In other words, this is the blasphemy.

<...this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.>

Now what could cause a man to know that this is the truth and reject the truth to go and follow a lie, is even because he does not want to give up his appetite for sin. So Jesus gave us the answer right there. He said, “Light is come into the world and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. The appetite for sin is in those people, and in order to serve sin, in order to enjoy Sodom and Gomorrah, they will go out and they will call the truth a lie, and they will call a lie the truth. The Bible said:

Isaiah 5:20 <Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!>

So now, that is the explanation for blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. You must be able to separate your backslidings, you must be able to separate your weaknesses and your faults in a different category, and Jesus separated that for us. He said:

Matthew 12:31 <Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.>

So He divided these two things. In other words, He said that there is only one sin that cannot be forgiven. And what cannot be forgiven is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost, in other words, calling the truth a lie. Now, Brother John divided that:

I John 5:16-17 <If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.>

He said if you see your brother fall in adultery, this, that or the next, he said pray for him and the Lord will forgive him. He said, but there is a sin unto death and you should not pray for that.

When you see a brother starts blaspheming the Word and calling the truth “a lie”, and calling the servants of God “the devil”, he said, “That is the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.” Now, that man will continue in that sin until he has his last chance. He said don’t pray for that man when he starts saying that: calling the Spirit of God an unclean thing.

UNPARDONABLE SIN

When men and women hear good, solid truth, and after hearing it and knowing it to be the truth, identify themselves with it, support it, and after would wilfully sin or disbelieve it, knowing better, and turn around and call it false; and on top of that, fight it, scandalize it, persecute those who stand for it, formulate lies about them, cuss them off, bring the police for them, try to throw them in jail, and if possible, kill them, and call the Spirit of God that is bringing the Word and causing the people to live holy, worship, sing, dance and manifest in the Spirit, an unclean thing, without a shadow of a doubt, they have committed the unpardonable sin and have sealed their doom.

Now, the devil takes the people’s mistakes and press them with it; you know, keeps on telling them that “You have been making this mistake for too long and you had your last chance last week.” It is the worst thing to gather in your mind that “This is my last chance.” The devil is going to cause you to stumble again. Never come to that place where you think; “Well, if I make another mistake I know that I am gone.” That’s wrong. If the Lord asked man to forgive his brother seventy times seven, how much more will He forgive?

So now, that is a wrong concept. People say, “I have done this thing too many times.” A righteous man falleth seven times and riseth up again. Yes! So now, don’t ever conceive in your mind: “That was my last chance. I know, if I make one more mistake, that is it.” No, if you make one more mistake in committing adultery, fornication and different things, that might be your last chance to sit down in the House of God, because we would not tolerate that sin and we will pitch you out! But that is not your last chance with God. You are thrown out of the House of God to go and work out your salvation and find repentance before God and come back. That is the understanding, because we would not tolerate sin here.

So now, the prophet of God thoroughly explained what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit is, and this has troubled people for a long time. And do you know why? That is a strategy of the devil. The strategy of the devil is to cause you to do things... As the Bible said: “And Satan provoked David to sin.” And the devil provokes you to sin. He knows where to touch. He knows which fibre to touch in your being at the weakest point, and cause you to fall over and over, and then come and sing a song to you: “You had your last chance the other day, and you have blasphemed the Holy Ghost and that is the end of you. Then you begin to think: “If that was my last chance then what am I doing in the House of God? It is better that I stay home, and I will wait a little while to see if that is true.” And then you stay home and you get worse and start doing this thing more and more, and then the devil tells you: “You are finished now. You are finished!” And then you say, “What is the sense of trying”, and then you go into the world. So that is a strategy of the devil.

But now, these cases that I am going to relate tonight are not in that category. No! These are in a different category. You are going to see cases of men and women who came in contact with good, solid truth, forsook their former ways of life and their former religions, were baptised, God cleaned them up and sanctified them, they sat in the presence of God, heard the anointed Word of God for years upon years, confessed with their mouths that it is the truth, danced in the Spirit, testified of the truth, the people of God and the servants of God, swore that they would forever stand for the truth of the message of Malachi 4: 5-6, the opening of the seals and the Word of God; and after some time, turned right around and manifested such corrupt fruits that I just mentioned. Any believer can take the Word of God and message of the hour, and judge what the fates of such people are. You cannot help but believe that they have committed the unpardonable sin.

So now, what I am going to say to you will reflect what the unpardonable sin is, and if somebody is in India or Africa or around the world, they could compare themselves with that man who is a blasphemer. Besides that, if you don’t believe these testimonies, then I will point to Judas. He is an example of a man who blasphemed, and you could always go back to that.

Judas had every opportunity, just like all the other apostles. He sat and heard the Word of God, was a partaker of the ministry, partaker of the Holy Ghost, he enjoyed the Word of God and he heard of the world to come. Look at that opportunity, brothers and sisters, to be next to the Messiah? Such an opportunity! And that man got that opportunity and then he had a bad spirit towards Christ, and then he went out and rejected Christ.

FAMOUS CALYPSONIAN – MIGHTY PROWLER

A mighty Calypsonian (worldly singer) was converted many years ago. Way back in the 1970’s. He won the by-local calypso competition in this country for three years. He sang under the title of “The mighty prowler.” He was originally from a Caribbean Island called St. Vincent.

I first met him in the outskirt of the city, Port of Spain, the capital of Trinidad. Two groups were gathered to hear me preach the message of Malachi 4: 5-6. They were Rastafarians who came from Baptist and Pentecostal backgrounds. Some professed to be a certain class of Rastafarians, wearing bags, residing in the mountains, and considering the white man as “Babylon.” They were trying to live different from the modern, civilization. They wore long beards and long hair.

They repented at my first message. Other meetings followed. Some were speaking in tongues, out in the rain. Others were shouting and had other manifestations. A few claimed to have seen me as an eagle; typical Baptist superstition.

A noted leader called Phipps, a highly ambitious young man, after attending a few meetings, took a group of young men and headed to the south lands to propagate the message, which he had not yet even heard but once or twice. Mr. Phipps’ ambition drove him to New York, USA where he developed mental problems. He returned to Trinidad after several years and it was reported by some that he was a street vagrant. He died of more recent times.

Others stayed, of whom was Carl De Souza and others upon whom I had influence. They were in a delusion thinking that they were in apostolic days. They went from house to house breaking bread on the first day of the week. Many of them were from prominent families and upper class people.

I continued to preach to them the message. I was successful in getting that idea out of them. On a glorious Sunday morning, I took the Word and blasted their fanaticism. They trimmed their hair and shaved their beards, and proclaimed that they had never heard love preached before, and as a result bowed to the Word of correction. I stationed the church at one home and got rid of the dogs that were walking up and down in the service while I preached. Also, a few insane and demon-possessed men stopped attending. I stayed with them for many months and refused to take control of the tithes and offering, but placed them in the care of one of the elders. Now, Brother Bob would come afterward, around the same time, in 1972, and speak to some of these people in a ministers’ meeting. So he met that group. They had a lot of questions. They used to argue on the scriptures whole night. So I gathered them in a little place there, and I invited Brother Bob. I tell you, he answered their questions in a few minutes and chopped them to pieces. Yes! They could not open their mouth.

When Roy Lewis-the mighty prowler heard that Word of God, he came up there and said, “Little man, what should I do to be saved? I have a contract with the greatest calypsonian in the country. And besides that, I have another man’s wife.” I said, “Go and give back the man his wife, give up your singing of Calypso, break the contract and even though it cost you the shirt on your back, come and follow what I am preaching.” He went and did it. He changed from the Mighty Prowler to a little brother called Brother Roy. Oh, his behaviour was wonderful for a long time.

He turned to gospel singing, got baptized and began serving the Lord. I am showing you how a man could get exposed to the truth, and what he could do after, just like Judas. All the other men went to the extreme from wearing rags to suits, in an extravagant manner. Roy Lewis seemed always well dressed, being a former calypsonian. He was not identified with the bag wearing brothers and the Rastafarians, though he wore dresses, while he sang calypsos, and lived a sodomite life. This was known many years later, after his baptism.

A false prophet, adulterer and fornicator from the Pentecostal circles, who embraced the message and began preaching it, crept in amongst the brethren and perverted their minds, saying that Carl De Souza should be the pastor. I had a showdown with him on doctrine a few times. In the midst of one meeting, I arose and said, “Thus saith the Lord, you are a false prophet.” The Lord had shown me where that man was going to fall and where his church was going to break up, and showed me by a spiritual dream that he would deceive Brother De Souza, who was murdered of recent years. A few months later, he was found in adultery. That man, every time he fell in adultery he would go and start another group somewhere and defile the women and fall again in adultery. And that man rejected the truth. And I will tell you where his problem started. When Brother Bob came down there, that man with a nasty spirit, came there to fight the truth in the meetings. And brother Bob was inside a house and he was looking through the window and saw that man about forty or fifty feet away, and somebody said that Brother Bob pointed to that man and said, “I don’t want to see that man. That man has a filthy spirit”, and he had never seen that man before. He was an adulterer, living with many women in the church, and his wife was found living in lesbianism with several women in the church.

On a faithful Sunday morning, there was a great showdown between the women fighting over him. One smashed his car windscreen with a stone. The church was destroyed not long after.

Roy Lewis married one of the said women and fellowshipped at another message church. He was also the song leader there. We parted for many years for in those days I never pastored, until this tabernacle was erected here in 1976 on these grounds, where that little prayer house was erected.

Around that time the Lord called many out of the assemblies to follow the true revelation of the message. The majority are still contending for the faith delivered unto us by the son of man, Christ. He had never heard such a revelation like this. He became one of the song leaders at Bethel. He was very inspired and all enjoyed his singing.

SELF-LED ATTITUDE

I tried to help that brother. I knew all along that he had no revelation on the Word of God. I knew it. Now, you could tell by certain questions that people ask you, how much they know about the Word of God. Certain things that they ought to pick up from the pulpit and then they come to ask you that. You know that you preached that fifty times but they never caught it. And I saw something in that man one night with all the love that I had for him and all the singing and everything that we loved to hear, I saw something, and that is he was very self opinionated and very self led and another thing was that he feared his wife.

One night I had a discussion with him and when I saw that, I said, “God have mercy, help this man or he’s lost.” I got up, closed the meeting and said, “That will be enough. You and your wife, that will be all right. Close this meeting.” And I looked for that man to overcome that thing, but instead of overcoming that he got deeper and deeper being self led. To follow this Word of God you cannot be self led. You cannot have your own opinions. You cannot pass smack judgment. You cannot sum up upon your brothers and sisters and pass judgment. He had a great ambition. Twelve years passed. He went along. And because of his self-opinion he heard that Word of God over and over knocking at that thing. I tried to help him in all fashions, year after year.

The Lord is longsuffering my beloved. But I tell you, certain people make up their minds to live with certain things and they want God to accept that as they accepted it. They have a certain picture of what a Christian life is and they want God to take them in just like that. You will never enter the kingdom of God. I watched that man and he had one set pattern, very formal and everything. I tried to help him in all forms. And, lo and behold a devil jumped on him, an unclean devil immediately jumped upon him, a sex demon. I would not reveal the nasty things that went on. I would not spare the time for it, but the man was a pervert, and he never gave up that perversion.

SPACE TO REPENT – LONG TONGUE WOMAN

He was found in sexual misconduct and had to be corrected. He was taken away from the song service and guitar playing when he did that nasty thing. At that moment he showed his colours.

Now, when you discipline somebody and you demote them, brothers and sisters, it shows up their self, it shows up their pride and it shows up their ambition. From the time he lost that position he was a different man. Yes! Now, that is where a child of God is known to be a child of God, that when he does wrong, if the pastor demotes him, beloved, he is contented with that and he goes on as a Christian because that is not what he is coming to church for. He is coming to church for salvation.

So, the Word came and caught up with him and instead of repenting, he showed his colours immediately and tried to lie his way out but failed.

And the Word of God called that thing out, and the Holy Spirit came and said, “I will spit you out of my mouth?” Did the Holy Spirit say that? Did the Holy Spirit say that God demands fruits of repentance? Did the Holy Spirit bring out that there is a space for repentance that closes after a while? [Congregation says, “Amen!”] Night after night.

Instead of that man repenting, he sat down right in front here and laughed at the word of correction. And when he laughed I knew that was the devil right there. I said that’s the end of that man. I said, "Take him and put him in the back.”

The minute his wife walked in here, I told my deacons; “Watch that woman with both eyes. If you don’t watch that woman she would tear this church to pieces, she has a mouth that would tear this church up to pieces.” She was a main gossiper amongst sisters in other assemblies, and tried to bring that spirit into Bethel.

Ask the deacons and they will tell you; much confusion that raised up in this church, almost all of them, that woman was behind it.

I don’t trust a woman that could live with a preacher, preaching this message over a period time, and then claim to be a believer. She has to be demon possessed. A woman has to have plenty guts to go to bed with a pastor and come and sit in that congregation. And that pastor has to have plenty guts to preach to that woman there. It’s a terrible thing.

We had to fight with that spirit for five or six years. You’re talking about one woman with a loose tongue could break up a church. You’re talking about one woman with a loose tongue; she could cause bloodshed. And that is what the man of God warned me about the very first time he started writing those letters. He said, “That would be your opposition. Lick every woman with a long tongue”, and he said that “you would have things in order.”

That spirit got away and took away several, out of the House of God. People who you thought would never leave the church. Now, this could be a lesson here to the world. When you touch certain in the house of God their relatives get into it, their friends get into it and the in laws get into it, and before you know it, it starts going around the church through the telephone and they are deciding who is right and who is wrong, when the pastor is deciding who is right and who is wrong and he is handling that, you could hear those conversations in the house.

Something happens and one person goes home and says, “You see what she did to me, and Brother so and so don’t have to write a report about it, and the deacons are mishandling it, and the pastor is mishandling it. And friends, if you have a bunch of relatives involved there, you are going to have problems, because these are your loved ones. That is your daughter, that is your granddaughter, that is your niece and that is your sister, and they have a certain feeling. Yes! And if a church develops that habit of settling their affairs as a family group, beloved, you are going to have trouble. Watch it there in India, watch it there in Africa. People serve the Lord as family groups.

Brother Bob was preaching in Jeffersonville and he said certain things that the people did not like, and thirteen families got up and walked out. Those people were serving the Lord in family groups, and when you touch one member, the whole family was offended. Now, that is a spirit. We ought to serve the Lord as individuals, and then you would not have people interfering in matters that the pastor is handling.

So now, there is a lot of that in churches. People serve the Lord as family groups: “That is my son with his family and that is another daughter with her family, and they go home and discuss things when they have problems. There are certain things that families should discuss and certain things they should not discuss. They should let certain things be handled by the ministry, otherwise a lot of people is going to be defiled, because you will have a root of bitterness in that family, and it is going to pass through the church and then they are going to drive the Holy Spirit out of the church. So now, we have a saying that describes that, that when you touch a friend or you touch a family, the other family jumps in and the friend jumps in. We have a saying which says, “You cannot drink bitter bush (herbal medicine) for another man’s fever.” If my head hurts me, you cannot come and take two tablets for it.

Let me tell you something, when that Word comes and chastise somebody for their wrong, don’t you ever go and drink medicine for somebody else’s fever. You cannot drink medicine for anybody’s fever.

I don’t care what relative you are to them, if you are a brother or a sister and that Word comes and chastises your own wife, don’t side with your wife if you know that she is wrong, don’t side with your brother, don’t side with your sister if you know that she is wrong, if the Word of God declared them to be wrong. Otherwise you will lose your soul together with them. And a couple of women did that when that spirit was exposed in that woman and that man. They are on their way to the tribulation if they do not repent and if the Lord does not grant them repentance. May the Lord have mercy is my prayer but you cannot drink bitter bush for anybody’s fever.

If your son or your daughter has a problem and the ministry is dealing with them, let the ministry deal with them. If your wife has a problem and the minister is dealing with her, let the minister deal with your wife. Yes!

When that Word comes and chastises a man, no matter how good a friend you are to him, you don’t take offences at the Word. Remember what Jesus said, “Blessed is he that is not offended in me”, and He is the Word of God. And when you would stand up and take that chastisement from the Word of God and repent, it proves that you are a child of God. The same Word that chastises the make-believer is the same Word that chastises the true believer. The true believer stands the chastisement and goes on. Some of their names were even called but they stood the chastisement of God’s Word. A child of God would stand the chastisement of the Word of God.

Brethren, what cause us not to repent and kick up and fuss up and butt up and complain as soon as the service is over. Talking in the car, talking in the home is pride, it is self. One of these days the world council of churches will be loosed on the church of God and they will be persecuting your very son there, your very daughter, your very wife, your very husband, and you would not be able to open your mouth. What about that? Chastising them right in front of you! And those foolish virgins who are there, they will take their little babies and knock them against the wall. They would have to stay quiet and show that they are pleased with it. Yes!

And that woman refused to be corrected on several wrongdoings, absented herself from services, and tried to scandalize the pastor and others in the church. She took cancer immediately and was bedridden. Deacon Quaccoo was sent to her. She vehemently refused to repent for her sins and died in that sinful condition.

Roy Lewis blasphemed against Brother Branham and his message, saying that William Branham did not have it, Lambert did not have it, the preachers at Bethel did not have it, but God revealed it to him. He began studying mysticism. He went back to his former way of life and singing calypso under a new title called “The mystic prowler”, which his wife sanctioned, saying that he was right to do that. He and his singing companion went under the title of “The two prophets.” He sang against Christianity and the message, spoke many blasphemies against the truth and totally denied the message of the prophet

Satan inspired him to win the national calypso competition, and he was crowned the calypso monarch of the year. He sent a boastful message to Pastor Bruce saying that he won the calypso crown and will be winning it again each year for the next five years.

He was a big, strong man, but he began to dwindle away, physically. A brother questioned him about his physical condition and asked if he was sick. The brother suspected that he was dying from a dreaded disease. His boast was short-lived and he perished not long after without repenting for his sins.

This is positively an example of a rebel who has fulfilled Hebrews 6: 4-6 and Hebrews 10:26. Blasphemers of the Holy Ghost right today in our midst. People who we knew! Beloved, those who are troubled on this subject, this gives you a little picture of a man who has blasphemed his way. He went back to his former life, like the prophet said. He said, “When you fulfil Hebrews 6: 4-6, you are back to your old life that you came from.” And this is a man who has blasphemed his way. I am in place to say that he was a Cain seed, that man was a seed of the serpent, right under religion like Judas Iscariot.

Now, can we compare Judas with this man? I am saying that Judas was a star boy in comparison to this fellow, going back and condemning Brother Branham and condemning Brother Bob and condemning the truth and condemning Christianity. Judas will have a better chance on the day of judgment than this man who has done this. So we have greater blasphemers today, and we know that Judas is lost. He came from hell and went back to hell. We cannot play with God’s Word. We must have the right attitude in correction.

Little did this man could have ever thought that after leading songs at Bethel, and proclaiming the message and composing songs about the message, could he have ever imagined that he would be in hell tonight? Could he have imagined that he would be in hell tonight? Could he ever have imagined that he would have called brother Branham “false” and the Word of God “false?” Do you know what started the problem? The problem started there with uncontrolled pride, uncontrolled self, uncontrolled ambition, uncontrolled lust! You may not go to hell because you fell in adultery or fornication, but that fornication and lust could lead you to commit the sin of blasphemy, where you want to live in sin so much that you start calling the truth a lie. That brings into my mind the resurrection group right here. They so love Sodom that they would make a doctrine to wallow in Sodom. You cannot make an excuse for sin!

JEZEBEL DECEIVED AHAB

Now, I am not against women, but, just as the man of God said, women were always on my heels trying to divide, trying to cut and trying to put people against me, right along. Women have their right place. A woman brought sin into the world and a woman brought the Saviour into the world. And if they hold their right place they are a blessing, but if they step out of their place it’s a curse.

So there was another man, oh a lovely man; a school teacher with a B.A. in education. I cannot say anything bad about that man, he was a lovely man, and he stayed here for maybe seven years. But he had one problem and that was he could not rule his wife. His wife would curse everybody in the neighbourhood and he would lock-up himself in the house, like the woman, and say nothing. And that went on for years, and sitting in this assembly doing everything otherwise but he wanted to keep that certain something because he didn’t want to lose his wife over the Word.

The time came; you could only go so far with that, and the Spirit of God could only strive with you until a certain time. That man had loved this Word so much, he left where he was living and came down to live amongst the saints and brought his wife. Bringing his wife, that woman swore that she would get him out of this tabernacle and she did. Oh, I tell you, I don’t have time to get into the things that that woman did. All kinds of lies. You’re talking about a professional liar and a professional confusion maker. That was one, if I ever met one in my life. She was an unsaved, ungodly woman.

And do you know what killed that man? One day he came from work and she started shedding long tears and said, "Brother Bruce said that he will get a man to rape me, and besides that, he said that he would rape me himself." And that believer for seven years, who knew the integrity of the Word of God and his little pastor, believed it like Mr. Potiphar, and swallowed that. I sent down the deacons and said, “Deacons, go down there and ask him if he believes such things.” And they went down there and he was very intellectual; had a B.A.; but he was stupid enough to believe a woman. “Do you believe that brother?” “Well, I would not comment on that brother.” “Do you think that Brother Bruce would ever do such a thing?” “No, I wouldn’t comment on that brother.”

Now, a true believer will say that it is a rotten, stinking lie, and I know that man of God, and I know the Word that he preaches and he does not stand for any such thing. And nobody could charge me for any such thing. Yet that fool was foolish enough to believe that. I walked down there, I said, “Brother, the devil is after you, stand for the Word.” “Yes brother, by God’s grace, I will stand for it.” He is standing for it over there now. In a few days he took his wife and went out. What is his fate? I would not sum up on that. But may the Lord have mercy upon the brother.

He was a wonderful man. Such a fine spirit. You would never know that a man would believe such a lie. But a lie is a dangerous thing my brothers and sisters. Potiphar was foolish enough to believe his wife saying that Joseph wanted to rape her. Imagine that! He was foolish enough to believe that.

THE BRAWLING PREACHER & THE DANCING DOCTOR MIRIAM

There is a group of message believers in Guyana, South America. They are a faithful group made up of sincere, honest, genuine Christian young men and women and some older folks. They made great sacrifices to serve the Lord and are very desperate with the message of Malachi 4: 5-6. They have grown in leaps and bounds since the Word of truth went to them in the early eighties, when their heretic pastor, Mr. Chester, fled to Trinidad from persecution and his conscience. Ministers and saints reported as follow:

Mr. Chester believed and preached that he met God in a pillar of fire and was called to preach, and continually taught that a minister must marry a virgin, he being a single man. He saw the pillar of fire on a weekly basis, he claimed, used to see a lot of visions, did a lot of fasting and projected to the congregation that he was in close communication with God. A major shortcoming was that he was very undisciplined with timekeeping in general; workwise or with any kind of appointments, and always had a spiritual excuse for being late, saying that the Lord had it to happen that way, and it was the will of the Lord.

His preaching was fanatical, very judgmental and without mercy; always based upon rebukes and corrections. Every mistake or error was chastised from the pulpit. His general attitude of preaching was that he would chastise anybody who came to the congregation who did not believe what he preached and even threatened to lift them bodily and put them out. Many of the believers were displeased with his general manner of preaching but could not show their disapproval because at the following service they would be brutally chastised in a carnal and unspiritual manner. They did run well, however, until a Pentecostal woman was admitted into the fellowship.

She was a very spiritual woman; shouting and dancing; typical Pentecostal style, dreaming, fasting and praying. She was a medical Doctor. She became a leader amongst the women and had a group of sisters whom she led by her visions and dreams. She got certain revelations that the sisters should wear ankle length dresses along with other change of wear. At one time she spread a doctrine that some of the saints were serpent seeds and members of her group refused to shake their hands. By such fanaticisms, she gathered a group of young women and had them, along with herself, seeking the Lord and praying and fasting for husbands. Though she was a defiled woman, before coming to the message, and had an illegitimate child, she had her eyes set on the preacher.

At one time she had a sister working for her as a live-in maid. The sister had travelled from another part of the Country and had taken up the job. The sister expressed an interest in the preacher, and as a result, she put her and her child out of her home, without giving any explanation to the believers, and the sister stop attending church.

Because of such fanaticism, the public labelled her “The mad Doctor.” To compound such things, a false prophet arose in Guyana by the name of Jim Jones and caused to be put to death over nine hundred of his church members, by them ingesting a poisonous substance.

While this fanatic preacher was using the pulpit and pastoring the church, this Doctor, praying and fasting with the young women, got a revelation that the preacher should marry to her, contrary to the Word of God which states that a minister must marry a virgin.

The preacher began changing his doctrine claiming that he is not a real preacher, but was just holding on to keep the flock together, because a relationship was developing between himself and the Doctor, which was noticeable to the congregation. Having such knowledge of the Word and message, against his conscience, he abandoned the pulpit to marry her, her money and her profession, which reflected the hypocrisy, insincerity and lack of love for God, His sheep and eternal life, that were down in that preacher’s heart.

Many of you here met that woman. I do not know of one person back in Bethel who she did not have a contention with. She was a woman who loved herself, and was full of pride. She even came up here and was fussing with some of the people. Certain things crossed their way to make them manifest what is in them.

VIOLENCE TO CHURCH

Persecution arose because of such fanaticism and unscriptural union. Her relatives came from the USA and attacked the church on several occasions. On the final occasion they did violence to several of the believers there, broke a sister’s arm, beat one of the other preachers and left him for dead, stripped some of the women of their clothing, took some captive and broke up the church until the police had to intervene. The believers were left without a place of worship, they were taken before the magistrate and had to worship on the street and serve the Lord through much hardship.

Do you see what fanaticism does? Do you see what unscriptural things happened? Do you see how a Pentecostal devil could come right under the message and then show itself and break up the church? And if you don’t have a man of God standing there, that spirit will overtake you. Yes!

The fanatic preacher abandoned the sheep, and along with the Doctor, fled to the capital of Guyana, into hiding. They finally forsook all their belongings, their jobs and fled to Trinidad. This was around 1982. All message churches here that had knowledge of their unscriptural union, refused to accept them into their fellowships. They had no home, no jobs, and were hungry and starving. They were both skin and bones.

In mercy, they were rescued by the pastor of Bethel and other Bethel saints. They were given food, clothing, shelter, transport and were hired until the Doctor got a job with the Government as a medical officer. The church helped them partially with a parcel of land and a home. The church even helped in teaching her to drive and even helped her with a loan to buy a car.

When this fanatic preacher came in contact with the church in Trinidad and its Pastor, he wrote to the church in Guyana and was high in praise and applause of the revelation he was now hearing and the servant of God. He even testified personally of the assistance that was rendered to him; spiritually, naturally and financially by the pastor of Bethel and the loan that was given to him and later written off. By his testimony the entire church was won over to the truth of the message. Pastor Bruce visited and established the church in the revelation of the message. It is yet standing strong in the faith and the message of Malachi 4: 5-6.

That church was actually abandoned by Shaffeek Mohammed who followed the resurrection doctrine, and later followed Teddy. And then persecution arose where some Muslims made some threats and he left the church there which consisted of better than fifty persons. In fact there were two or three churches, and I preached in several of them. Three churches I preached to, from the capital way down to the borders of Venezuela, and my labours were in then, and when that man saw that some problems were coming up he abandoned all those sheep, left all those churches and fled to the States and that is where he is right now. He rejected Brother Branham’s message and went back to Pentecost.

This is the man when Ruddle fell in adultery, that is the man he put behind the pulpit to keep the church until he finished committing adultery for four or five years. Yes, that is the man. And then when he was ready he came back and took his wife and took back the pulpit.

I am saying that Donald Ruddle is a filthy stinking adulterer and a big hypocrite! Yes! His soul is hanging over hell, if he has not yet blasphemed his way! And that is why he could not follow this Word of God and could not follow the truth and continue to look for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, because his deeds were evil! Yes!

The Doctor was loving and kind and very helpful to many of the saints, medically, and gave her services to them, at the church’s expense, over a period of time. On the other hand, while she worked, her husband was a lazy man who did very little, stayed home and lived off her money, until he was forced to work after the Word came down upon his infidelity.

He was forbidden to preach from Bethel’s pulpit but was one of the pianists at the church. The pastor observed in him an argumentative, angry spirit. He could not receive correction on the Word and was one of those “know it all.”

Hebrews 12: 7-8 <If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.>

They both lived like dogs and cats, arguing often. His wife brought multiple complaints about him, to the pastor, over their many years at Bethel, and suffered under him, saying what a terrible man he is. The pastor comforted her. She greatly loved and appreciated her pastor and publicly gave the greatest testimonies concerning the goodness and kindness of the saints and the ministers, which testimonies are yet on magnetic tapes. However, in her also, there were some negative qualities, which included super-spirituality.

She was a dancer and one who shouted all the time in service. She tried to prove how spiritual she was; and indeed she was a spiritual woman and one who seemingly loved the Lord. She even tried to prophecy at times and failed miserably, trying to prove to the pastor that she was right and had a gift. She made a fool of herself. And more detrimental; she had a preaching spirit that was very subtle which was deeply concealed in her bosom.

Now brethren, everything that glitters is not gold. Not everything that shouts and not everything that dances is God. I believe in dancing, I believe in shouting, I believe in worship and I believe in praising God.

CHESTER’S REBELLION – BRAWLING PREACHER

The trouble started when her husband, the pianist, began attending services way after song services started. On this matter, he could not stand correction personally or publicly and got offended. By way of imposing sanctions, he abandoned the playing of the piano, refused to enter the church building during services, stood outside, full of offences, and later stayed home. The pastor gave no way to such a spirit but chastised it with the Word of God. His wife, however, was determined to stand. The only thing she did not do was to swear that he could not move her, and the whole church believed her.

Now, when you are corrected, if you are a child of God you would take it as a child of God and correct yourself. This man showed his colours when he was corrected, and when the Word said that you need to be here an half an hour before the service starts and dedicate yourself, he was getting too busy.

It was around this period of time that the pastor had a spiritual dream from the Lord concerning this man. He saw him walking in front of the church, and all of a sudden he turned into a snake and went into a hole. The pastor took a firebrand and pushed it into the hole. After this experience, he manifested much blasphemies. Because of his unbelief and blasphemies manifested, the pastor concluded and denounced him as committing the sin of blasphemy (Hebrews 6 & 10, 1 John 5), the sin unto death.

Having that dream, I knew that it was a bad sign. You do not play around this Word of God. You have to stand your chastisement. You have to take your correction. You have to put down your pride. You have to put down your self. You have to put down your offenses. You have to be at peace with your brother. We are nobody. Humble ourselves, give away our rights.

He began preaching from the staircase at his home, in a brawling manner, with a loud voice, to the neighbouring Bethel saints, speaking great blasphemies against the truth, the pastor of Bethel and the people of God and frothing at his mouth, being demon-possessed. His brawling preaching he did for several hours of the day for several days in the week. He could have been heard way off in the neighbourhood by both believers and unsaved people. This was a man who was previously a soft-spoken person. He was spiritually entitled “The brawling preacher.” The Bible said that a preacher should not be a brawler (1 Timothy 3: 1-3).

Such preaching and blasphemies went on for years. He brawled and preached, trying to persuade his wife that she was in a cult and that Pastor Bruce is antichrist. This was after he confessed and testified about the truth and the goodness of God’s servant for years, and which is yet recorded on magnetic tapes. God gave him over to strong delusions to believe a lie.

When the experience of him turning into a snake was made known to his wife, she became more determined to stand. She stood up against him while he preached to her for hours and would not let her sleep. She was positive that he could not convince her against the pastor and the truth itself. She said that she felt that she was laying in bed with a serpent, when she felt his demon power, but told sisters, if she separated from him for the Word, what would she do when she waxed wanton. Do you see the condition of people’s souls?

She shouted even louder, and danced, but to her detriment became offended when the Word came down on that antichrist spirit of her husband, especially on the matter of his ungodly marriage which disqualified him from preaching. Her pride got in her way, because she was automatically exposed. She was offended in the Word.

There was a major problem that her pastor had his eyes upon, concerning this Doctor, whom he respected; because of her position, spiritually, and efforts to stand against her husband’s unbelief, and the problem was that she was full of self, she was full of pride, full of ambition and she was always offended in somebody. There were very few in the church in whom she was not offended, and when she had an offense she could carry it very far. Yes! Chew you out for months, complain to the ministry, talk to her husband about it, talk to her sons about it and show you such a bad face. A person would be coming this way and she would turn her face. Very sarcastic! Disputes after disputes had to be settled. Many of the saints gave away their rights to help her, by the pastor’s advice.

Then after some time, she thought that she was so strong that she could have stood up against her husband. So she stood up and continued to listen to her husband, not knowing that the mistake that Eve made was when she stood for a moment and listened to the serpent. I preached that over and over and over, that you are not able to stand up against that backslidden husband and hear his unbelief and hear his heresies and hear his threats and come out right. She thought that she was strong, that she could have heard what he was saying. She boasted that she could have stood up, not knowing that the devil was working right on her, and she was in a demonic atmosphere. That whole house was demonized. She lived in that demon power day and night and she was hearing this preaching, the neighbourhood was hearing this preaching also. You talk about demon power moving, and she thought that she could have lived through that.

With all those offences bottled up in her, the Word came down on them and she catered to her husband’s preaching. When the Word declared that her husband had blasphemed his way, she would state publicly, in direct opposition, that she was holding faith for him.

And the thing in the back of her mind was if she left this man for the Word of God, “where would I get another husband? I can’t be remarried.” You have to love eternal life more than your lust. And with that on her mind she began accusing the ministry for trying to get her to separate from her husband, writing the pastor many nasty and disrespectful letters, rebuking him, and started preaching to the sisters in her medical office, spewing out her venomous poison of unbelief. The saints were warned to beware of that woman-preaching spirit. She finally left the church. Even her illegitimate son knew her spirit, laughed at her, did not cater to her doctrine and was not pleased with her actions. He also fell away to the world.

She named her younger son by the first name of the Pastor; “Dalton”, because of the great confidence

she had in the ministry. When she became bitter and hateful, she boasted that the name will be changed. The young man is now grown and cannot forget his childhood association with his Bethel church friends. Many reported of his most pleasant attitude when he meets them. May the Lord bless this young man for his attitude, amidst the terrible spirit that is upon his father and mother. May he continue the same, and may God have mercy upon him.

The brawling preacher’s mother and brother are members of the church in Guyana. He went up there to corrupt them and try to turn them against the truth and the man of God. His brother withstood him and his mother told him; “Andrew, swallow your pride.” When he persisted she said, “I disown you as my son.” She is a gallant elderly sister along with her other son and his family who are standing for the Word of God, though she suffered with a broken arm during their persecution. Also standing with the Word of God is Dr. Miriam’s sister and her family, who never deviated to follow her pernicious ways. They are to be highly commended. May God continue to bless them.

There was a spiritual dream that I read from the pulpit before Doctor Miriam was dismissed from Bethel, which was very frightening to many of the saints because I did not identify the party involved in the dream, and possibly caused some sisters to think that it might have been one of them.

In this dream the long awaited outpouring had come. Various ones were receiving the outpouring of the Spirit but Doctor Miriam was weeping and wailing, pleading and begging to receive that power and was unable to get it. Though her name was not mentioned from the pulpit because of the ministry’s respect for her, she however suspected that the dream was pertinent to her. What is the hope of Doctor Miriam is left to be seen. She is fighting the truth against her own conscience, but I know positively that her husband has blasphemed his way.

ABSALOM AND COMPANY - KIDNAP PLOT AGAINST PASTOR

Around that same time of Doctor Miriam’s decision to stay home, two prominent believers at Bethel; Mr. Narine Absalom and Mr. Osouna; one a policeman and the other a security officer, who both lived close to the brawling preacher, went about to mock him as he frothed by his mouth, screamed under demon power, sweated like a horse and preached against the pastor and certain ones. They were warned by the pastor, not to fool around that demon-possessed man, don’t mock him, and pay no attention to what he is saying, as they too can be possessed likewise. However, they failed to take heed to his counsel and continued to do so in disobedience. This would be to the detriment of their souls.

They were anointed by the devil in a matter of months, formed a sports group in the neighbourhood to entice the young men of the church. They formed an alliance with the brawling preacher, left the church and started to preach in the same manner to the neighbouring saints of Bethel. They became hateful, malicious, blasphemous, money-lovers, whoremongers and persecutors of the saints, their own loved ones and the pastor of Bethel. They invented lies of every kind. Their main theme was that “there would be an exodus from Bethel.” The pastor of Bethel declared publicly from the pulpit that it may be so, but it would be an exodus of goats.

The policeman contacted other backsliders and blasphemers who hated the pastor, cussed him and his family for years and made false reports to the police station of wicked, immoral things. He plotted with a young woman of that group to fake her kidnap and accused the pastor of kidnapping her. They got the newspapers’ attention and scandalized the church. God intervened and foiled their dirty plot. The woman escaped from the law for faking such and wasting police’s time. In all of this her minister father at Bethel stood against her and the rest of her family and eventually separated from that home because of the truth. He is still a faithful minister standing for the message and E.O.D.H., though he stumbled many times because of his great affection and hope of salvation for them. They all went back to the things of Sodom and Gomorrah, but the true saints kept marching on with the truth.

Mr. Absalom, along with his wife and child, first visited Bethel in the late eighties. He was formerly of a Hindu background and she came from a rich family and was of Muslim background. They heard the Word of God, were convicted, forsook their heathen religions and were soon baptized in Christian baptism. They took up fellowship at Bethel and were there for several years.

They were loved by many, if not all. He supported the ministry one hundred percent and showed all favour and very few people have ever testified of the ministry in such a great measure as he. This he did from the truthfulness of his heart. His wife likewise.

None knew the deceit and the wickedness that was in his heart until it was later manifested. He and his family were close to his shepherd, even as Judas was close to Jesus. However, the shepherd knowing the sheep, knew that he needed help in critical areas and tried to help him.

As he continued to sit and hear the Word of God, he was never emptied of self-pride and love for money. He had a desire and an ambition to preach and breakdown the Word of God. This he confessed to some of the brethren, and preached in company with the brawler.

In addition to that, he had in him a critical spirit, a critical devil, in all the ten years that he had been at Bethel, and that spirit showed up itself. He was always critical of the deacons and the ministers. Pride, self and ambition will cause you to be critical, will cause you to say things you ought not to say about your brother, because you want a certain position.

The pastor would not pay heed to him when he came to him and criticized the ministers of Bethel. He would just shun it and leave it alone not knowing that there was so much deceit and so much wickedness in that man.

He changed residence and began to live in the same neighbourhood as the brawling preacher and began to clique together with Osouna in that neighbourhood, who had the same critical spirit as him. Osouna never had a conversation with his pastor without speaking evil of someone. Those two critical spirits met together and started sharing their burdens with one another. It would be to their downfall. They began sinking one another.

Watch out! If you have a nature that is critical you ought to keep away from another fellow who is critical. If you get together you could work havoc. You must always try to find somebody who is stronger than you to help you. If you have certain weaknesses, try to find somebody who is stronger than you so you could be influenced the right way. Osouna even began spreading a nasty rumour on his own daughter, which was a lie, too filthy to mention.

With all those offences in his heart, and pride and ambition to preach, and seeing others exalted to that position, Absalom became jealous and envious and thought in his heart that he was not justified and he started a justification campaign. The justification program was to find the backsliders and find people who were corrected by the ministry and tell them that they were right. That was the strategy that Absalom, David’s son, used. So he inherited the name “Absalom” because he has the spirit of Absalom. Now, that is the strategy of the devil. The strategy of the devil to come and break up the church is to go through the congregation and try to tell the people that the pastor did not judge them rightly, and he was wrong in this and wrong in that. And that could start right from home, right from a father’s mouth, right from a mother’s mouth, right from a brother’s mouth in your very home: pass a second judgment after the pastor judges a matter.

That jealousy arose when a newly appointed foreign minister-Brother Reece preached his first message on Bethel’s pulpit. He went and pointed out certain things to Brother Reece, and told him that some favouritism was taking place in Bethel, accusing the ministry of partiality. Brother Reece reported the matter to Brother Bruce, who went to him on the matter in humility and love and told him, “Brother, there is nothing that you could do that I can’t forgive you for.” To prove the liar that he was he said that he was being wrongly accused by the brother. When he thought that he was exposed, he ran across to Brother Rogers and gave him a certain story on the matter and said that Brother Reece misunderstood him. That is the strategy of the devil. Every time the devil gets trapped he will run across and make confusion, and run across and try to defend himself. He never repented.

He became jealous of all who were near the shepherd and went about evil-speaking his family and his grandchildren. He spoke evil of his sons and said nasty things to others about his daughter. In all of that Brother Bruce treated him as a brother and as a friend, with Christian love.

All his poison he would spew in the ears of his companion, Osouna.

Absalom’s poisonous tongue went through the congregation. He went to many of the saints and spoke evil. It almost slew a bunch of them and had them shaken, because of the confidence they had in this man and the high estimation they had of him. The most dangerous man that Satan could use against you is a make-believer in whom you have confidence. He sat down right in the House of God and spoke evil of Brother Barrow while Brother Barrow was carrying out my instructions on a church matter.

So his evil tongue went to work. There is one thing that pride, ambition and self would do, and that is it is going to have a loose tongue, it is going to have a critical tongue, it is going to be jealous.

Before all these things became public, the ministry had been dealing with him and his problem in secret and in love, for almost one year.

Now, look how these spirits move, and they jump from one person to the next. Remember Brother Branham said the people catch one another’s spirit. So this man and his buddy went down to mock the brawling preacher. They did not know the power of that spirit. And to face such spirit with offences in your heart and dissatisfaction with the ministry, that devil will jump on you. I called him. I said, “Don’t bother to go down there and hear that man, that spirit will fall on you. Don’t do that!” O, they thought that they were strong, they thought that they were snake handlers. And some people think that they are snake handlers.

When people cross the line and are critical with their mouths, turn against the pastor, turn against the Word, make interpretations, make heresies, you as a believer, are not a snake handler to go and handle these snakes! That snake is going to bite you.

Anybody who rises up against the Word of God, perverts the message and comes against the ministry is a snake! And you are not a snake handler to think that you are going to win them with your love, after the pastor tried and failed, you want to think that you are so super-spiritual that you could go and handle your husband and handle your wife who rejected the Word. This man went down there to handle this blasphemous fellow who was burnt with a firebrand. He went down there mocking him. As he preached they started to mock him. And then they stopped mocking him and then they opened their ears.

ABSALOM’S EVIL TONGUE AND EVIL DEEDS

With that offence, pride and ambition, he opened up his ear, sat down and started listening to the brawling preacher and involving other brothers, encouraging them to take chairs, sit and listen, while they ate popcorn. Whenever you have offences in your heart, it automatically opens your ear to criticism. And this man was full of offences. And anytime you listen to criticism with offences in your heart it is going to destroy you. And that devil jumped from that brawling preacher on these two fellows. Immediately they came against the ministry.

Now, when a man could fall so low to listen to something like that, it shows that he has a lot of deceit down in his heart. Because he himself was mocking the devil for months, and I had to stop him and say, “Don’t go and mock that man. Why mock? We have better standards than that. Don’t mock the man, he has a family, the family belong to the church here, they have feelings for their family too. Stop that.”

At the same time his wife was preaching down there to different ones, preaching from house to house and from sister to sister before he started to preach. So she entered the pulpit before him. She made a brawl in front of the church and almost cuffed a sister because the sister came and told what was going on, and she got to find out and almost beat the sister.

Her husband was previously opposed to similar actions of another family, whom he plotted with to frame a kidnapping case against the pastor. He was most angry against the head of that home, whose wife had about the same problem, but when he got his share he couldn’t take it.

He tried very hard though, to get that spirit off him. He tried to show that nothing was wrong. What destroyed him was that attitude of offence and lack of confidence; his confidence started to be ruined. Anytime you start losing confidence in the man of God, if the Lord doesn’t help you, you are finished. Then the enemy would continue to destroy the Word in your life. Let this be a lesson to all.

Pride entered into his heart, he was full of offences and then that offence became a root of bitterness. Settle your offences, it will become a root of bitterness, and it will contaminate others. That is what went on there. He took advantage of that weak man-Osouna, and he also began blowing up his mouth, saying all kinds of wickedness too. He’s a hypocrite! And if the Lord doesn’t give him grace he will be cut off shortly. Eventually Osouna began absenting himself from the services.

I spoke to Absalom on multiple occasions and said, ‘Brother, stop that, go across and meet Osouna, tell him you are wrong. He was such a hypocrite that he would even speak evil of Osouna. He was told, ‘Go straighten those things; I don’t even want to hear what both of you spoke about.’

Because of his evil mouth that spoke evil of the ministry and the brethren, many began losing confidence in him. He knew that he was wrong and was therefore advised by his shepherd to go to the pulpit and make amends. He came up and gave a lying confession, and instead of repenting he started talking good about the shepherd, that he found no fault in him. After being held in such high esteem, he couldn’t bear the shame of being made low in the eyes of the congregation. The congregation lost more confidence in him.

He wanted to play a snake handler, he thought he had so much revelation. He went down there and what finished him is after he had his last talk with me, he said, “Brother Bruce, I am going to tell Osouna as it is and it is either he comes or he doesn’t come. But listen to me, I could bring him back.” That is the same man who half-killed Osouna. He said, “If I tell him tomorrow to come he will come.” I said, “Listen to me, I don’t want that man to come like that. Tell him to go and correct all his offences with the different brothers and then bring him back.” He went there and thought he was strong enough to bring back not only the gossiper, but other snakes that went out of Bethel. And when he went down there to deliver them, he got bitten. He opened up his mind with that offence in him.

Anytime your confidence is lost in the man of God and you have offences with the brethren and the ministry, your ears are automatically opened to hear, first, things against the policies of the man of God then the Word of God. Who could have ever thought that he would drift so fast and so far? He changed into a completely different man, from a lamb to a wolf.

He went out with a justification program to tell all the backsliders that they were right but Brother Bruce gave them wrong. The same spirit as Absalom. If that spirit doesn’t fit that man, I don’t know the Bible.

He started lying way back in the beginning and told people that he has certain things holding in confidence for Brother Bruce because he was near Brother Bruce, and he told him such and such about this brother and about Doctor Miriam. He went around to all backsliders and stirred them up to go on the newspapers and lie on the pastor.

THEY WERE NOT OF US

“1 John 2:18-29 <Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

They went out from us, but they were not of us; [that ‘us’ he is talking about is the elected Bride of Christ] for if they hath been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us...>

...Now, this is a very vital scripture; ‘...they went out from us, but they were not of us, if they hath been of us they would no doubt have continued with us, but they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.’

Beloved, to turn your back against the Word of God is a serious affair. After you sit and hear the Word of God and understand what the Word is saying and you said, ‘Amen’ to it, you support it with your tithes, you support it with your offerings, you support it with your testimony and all these other things, to get up and turn away from it, it is like Peter said, ‘It is better that you had not known the truth than after you had known the truth to turn away into the world.’ And this scripture is bearing out the same thing. This scripture has to do with election.

Now the scripture says, he that is of God heareth us. That is the Elected Bride. And he that is not of God heareth not us. That ‘us’ is the elected and this is sufficient here to make manifest every man that rises up and turns away from the Word of God as a non-elected.

Quote W.M.B.: ‘You tell a man about water baptism, the Godhead and seed of the serpent and he cannot see that, after once or twice, that man’s election is of.’ Brother Paul said, he that is an heretic, which is a self-opinionated man in scriptures, after the first and second admonition reject him for he is condemned of his own self. Now, compare that with what is going on. I want to tell you that we gave ten thousand times more grace. Yes, I am a grace believer and I want the souls of men to be saved but I also want to please the Lord.

And after all that was said and done, the time has come for their dismissal. These people have openly manifested who they are now, for the edification of the church, for the church to know that we have drawn our lines, for the weaker believers to know the seriousness of it, for the brethren to understand and recognize the antichrist. They went out; we are not putting out anybody. So now the general idea is that we are drawing our lines and we are putting our lines where they belong. That is what I am doing here. I am announcing to the church, in case anybody is in doubt about our stand upon these things. This is concerning Mr. Narine Absalom and his wife.

Now, you don’t know what goes on behind the curtain, you don’t know what goes on in the office before we see such manifestations in the public. You only hear sometimes. But the ministry had been dealing with this man for some time. I will put it as some time early last year and especially at the beginning of this year. He has changed into a completely different man. And in my assessment, this man supported this ministry one hundred percent and showed all favour. Few people have ever testified of the ministry in such a great measure. Now, we still have his testimony on tape and his testimony alone is able to condemn him on the Day of Judgment.

FABRICATION OF LIES - BLASPHEMY

I want to say this right here that whatever he says in his preaching with the brawler, it proves that he had an ambition for preaching and whatever he says there on the newspapers or on the television, he knows better than that in his heart. When a man will lie against the truth, that is blasphemy! That is blasphemy of the Holy Ghost! Now, blasphemy takes a course. A man could start blaspheming today and he takes a certain course and then he reaches a certain place where his cup is full. The man of God and the children of God have to know when that cup is full.

Now, his wife is a big hypocrite just like he is, and she encouraged him into that way. That’s the snake in the bush that encouraged him in that way! I understand he said that he wanted to come to repent, and she said, ‘What are you going to repent for? You did not do anything.’ Now, that’s the spirit that caused it. Now he’s spreading lies and saying that they are holding many secrets. Let me tell you, nobody holds any secret in here for me and nobody could sell me and nobody could buy me! Nobody has any secret in here for me!

Now he is trying to fabricate another lie that I have some kind of connection in Nigeria where I am going to get about thirty four million dollars. Imagine that devil! Now, that is when a man is empty and he doesn’t know how to handle the Word of God to fight another man, so he has to lie. He has a stinking lying tongue in his mouth.

Now, there are spies in here, dangerous hypocritical spies who sit down and pick up everything that is spoken here and carry it to him. I want to tell you that you are numbered with that same spirit, whoever you are. You are a lowdown hypocrite and the curses of the Lord are upon you unless you repent! Whoever you are and wherever you are! Every word, they take it back. Your soul is dead and unless you repent for that treachery you are going to Hell too! Trust no soul as we draw closer, the Bible says, ‘Brother shall deceive brother and betray one another even unto the death.’ That’s the kind of spirit, that’s the kind of devil. They tried to poison all of my dogs a few days ago, how do I know that was not Absalom.

And ‘Spy’, when you are carrying the message, carry the message correctly today. And this is the message that I want you to give Absalom, that ‘he went out from us because he is not of us and what he has manifested is a sign that he is a seed of the serpent, if he cannot alter that.’ There are people who go out and repent and come back. If you cannot alter that, you are a seed of the serpent.

He is officially dismissed together with Mrs. Absalom, and this is the credentials under which he is dismissed. He is dismissed here as the biggest Judas that ever passed through Bethel! How many believe that say, ‘Amen.’ [Congregation says, ‘Amen!’] As the biggest deceiver, the biggest hypocrite, a man full of the most wickedness that I have ever encountered and the most deceit in a human heart! His words are empty and his words mean nothing, and his own testimony is able to judge him on the Day of Judgment! I won’t have to speak one word.

So he is officially dismissed from this congregation, we have no part nor lot with him, his words will eat you like a cancer and he is holding no secrets for Bruce; where I ever told him that I am going to preach about a brother or a sister. Nobody holds any such secret for me. I don’t preach carnal preaching and tell a brother, ‘I’m going to preach on this brother tonight, I am going to preach on this sister.’ No sir! I have better respect for my brothers and sisters. None of the ministers could say so. In all the years I never called Brother Chandler and say, ‘Well Chandler, I think I am going to preach against this person tonight.’ Not even Brother Sookdeo could say that, so who is a dog like Absalom.

Now, he is trying to show that he was close to Brother Bruce. Let me tell you something about Bruce friend; you could hug up Bruce everyday but that does not mean to say that you are close to Bruce.

And then the notorious lie that he went out and spread that I believe that I am the Christ. Now, you know that he knows better than what he is saying. Now, you believe your little pastor; when your mouth speaks contrary to what your heart knows concerning God’s Word, that is blasphemy! And these people know better than what they are saying.

I am afraid for our faithful minister’s family because they know better than what they put on that newspaper, that I said that ‘married people should not come together for forty days.’ Lying set of devils! And that I preach ‘a person cannot go out to spit.’ Stinking Liars! Another thing they put there is I have the people sign their properties over to my name. Is there any person who could put up your hand here and say I asked you to put your property on my name or I have my name on your property? Could you put up your hand? Anybody? [Ed. No one in the congregation puts up their hand.] How many say it’s a lie? [Congregation says, ‘Amen!’] A lie of the Devil! When a man could lie like that his soul is bound for Hell with all who follow him! Yes Sir! He is bound for Hell, he is on his road to destruction!

JUDAS ANTICHRIST DISMISSED

So he is officially dismissed as the biggest Judas and the biggest antichrist and the biggest hypocrite and the lowest and the most common dog that ever passed through Bethel! I say, ‘Away with him!’ I commit him here this evening in the hands of the devil for the destruction of the flesh that his soul might be saved on the day of the Lord! If there is any hope at all, that’s the only hope that I can rest upon.

You say, “Well Brother Bruce, I saw you put out people from the church and nothing happened to them.” It means that they are not of God. Many more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife. And when you see people dismissed from the House of God and nothing happens to them, they are seeds of the devil, especially if they open their mouths against that truth and against that ministry and they continue to do that and cannot repent, they are finished. You believe your little Pastor here, they are finished.

Such men got to be seated in the House of God for the training of the Church, and I will read one scripture for your edification.

Jude 1: 3 <Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.>

Are we contending? This is what brings the contention and this is why you should contend. This is an opportunity for you to contend:

Jude 1: 4 <For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, (Isn’t that a serious affair?) ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.>

Now, this is what the Lord allows in the House of God; men who are ordained to condemnation and then allows them to rise up in order for the saints to contend for the faith.

That same dog is now greeting his in-laws “Assalam O Alaikum” [Ed. Islamic greeting.] You know where that has its bearing. He came to the office to defend himself. He said, ‘Brother Bruce, if I want money all I have to do is to repeat one verse in Islam and I could get any amount of money from my in-laws. Maybe he repeated the verse. That fellow has done enough to take his name out of the Book of Life. May God still have mercy upon that man and bring him to repentance somehow or the other is my prayer.

So may the Lord bless your hearts. Keep away from these spirits, don’t have any contentions with them. They have a spirit in them that could harm you physically. Have nothing to do with them.

That man has blasphemed his way. Now, it sounds very cheap and common in the ears of some, but you must understand that these people who have committed that sin are living out their time on earth here, and some of them died and have gone to their place. But these people, it doesn’t matter if the trumpet of the Jubilee sounds and if this revival breaks and if the outpouring comes upon the earth here, that is the end of those people, they will never go in the rapture.

MR. JAGGERNAUTH

Mr. Jaggernauth was a smart and ambitious young man, with a wonderful personality. He was baptized at Bethel in the mid eighties and ended up at Vindayal’s assembly. After spending fourteen years there, he requested to return to Bethel, complaining about the heresies of Vin. His request was granted and he and his family came, but he concealed that he was an adulterer at that assembly.

They brought two other families with them which were also dissatisfied with the ministry of Vin and his Exodus. These two other families are yet at Bethel contending for the faith. Later, when Jaggernauth fell away, he tried to draw them back out but was unable to do so.

God having delivered him from heretical teachings, he remained at Bethel for approximately fourteen months, sat and heard the truth of the message to which he gave his full support. By his testimonies on tapes, books and newsletters, he denounced Vindayal and his heresies of seven thunders, seven trumpets, son of man, Indian chief authority of the west, five star general of all message ministers, dove-led white eagle, the second coming of Christ in human flesh, pulls for money, sports, television, worldly dressing, and fanaticism, in no uncertain terms, but failed to cut clear from heretics, and was taken prey of Lucifer by the instrumentality of Vin’s chief throne guard, and was again entangled by the yoke of bondage, heresies, private interpretations, doctrines of devils and another gospel partly based upon the message of the hour. Such is the destructive power of a heresy and a heretic!

He confessed that after fourteen months of hearing the truth, he was unable to empty his soul from the teachings of his former pastor, Vin. This bewitched soul, against his conscience, in a desperate effort to be reinstated under those heretical teachings wrote letters of repentance, to churches and ministries, for testifying against such damnable heresies. It’s an impossible task that he has undertaken by the instructions of the Indian Chief, through his body-guards. His testimonies are undeniable and cannot be altered, since it was efficiently documented in two books that are in circulation worldwide. He tried desperately to justify his chief heretic as the fulfilment of Brother Branham’s new ministry, although he formerly denounced him as Indian Chief Authority, white horse rider, interpreter of the trumpets, 7^th Seal and 7 Trumpets, son of man revealed, the second coming of Christ, fulfilling the Joshua Commission, and several other heretical bewitchments. He has returned to his vomit.

God forewarned the church about the fall of this man, calling his name before he showed signs of his deceit, hypocrisies, unbelief and lies against his own conscience.

The Lord gave me a peculiar dream concerning this young man. In this dream, his features were as that of a mixed, hybrid young boy at Bethel who backslid recently.

We were both on a narrow road standing at a lonely area. At the side of the road was a barricade which blocked off a very deep precipice that led to what seemed to be the sea. I warned him not to go near the barricade. Before I knew it, and could do anything to stop him, proudly and without precaution, he made a dash and fell over the cliff very swiftly. When I looked down, I saw him floating face down, seemingly drowned. There was no way for me to get down to him. The precipice was about a hundred feet down and steep.

It wasn’t but a few months later that he manifested gross unbelief and began to slip very swiftly. I tried to help him to stand with the Word, but I could see that he was manifesting unbelief. That man left the church and blasphemed the Holy Ghost, blasphemed the Word of God, called all that he heard, “untrue”, all that he testified to he tried to alter, but he could not. We do not play with the Word of God. We do not play with pride, we do not play with self.

May the Lord have mercy upon his soul, for his writings have helped many around the world, thanks to his former efforts and service to God, but it was necessary that he be dismissed from the House of God as a traitor to the cause of Christ and eternal life (Titus 3:10-11, 1 Corinthians 5). Thus he is no longer a representative in any respect of defectors assembly publication or Bethel “The House of God.”

He has since aligned himself with the two false prophets; Mac and Ken and Mr. Parham the homo and his company, Doctor Miriam and Athaliah and her group; a deep precipice.
